On Georgia in The Guardian and The Spectator

I love The Guardian; I read it every day.

Well written, and usually with a number of interesting longer articles, it is the only quality newspaper always worth its price in this internet age.

One fault is its knee-jerk anti-Americanism, the sort of inverse nationalism which George Orwell recognised as the curse of Western Intellectuals. Today, Seamus Milne (who is to be admired for what he has done with the editorial section generally) somehow blames America for Russia's disgraceful excursion into Georgia - click here.

The Spectator is getting better every week, and it was refreshing to read the following editorial straight after reading Milne's comment piece - click here.

We are so lucky to have such a strong and free press in this country.

Interestingly! :)
And answer me, buddy, what does USA seek in Black Sea, which is at a distance of about 9000 km from USA's territory?? Maybe does USA seek the oil, which doesn't belong to USA, eh? And maybe do Americans simply lost themselves and forgot where is their home? ;) Oh, if it is so, we shall help them to find their home! And we do it enough soon.
And if you have forgotten geography, we can teach you the lesson. Bear in mind and commit to memory forever - Georgia, Ossetia, Abkhazia, Ukraine, Belorussia are nearest neighbours (borderlands!) of Russia. And if Russia does something in and together with these countries, it is Russian geopolitical interest. But what USA do in these countries - it is, put it mildly, absolutely non-understandable! But we understand it and we shall explain USA it and we shall make USA to go home.
And Seamus Milne is excellent journalist and capital fellow! Besides - he is Scotchman ;) And he understands well, that when Scotland becomes independent state at last, Russia will be the first country in the world, which will recognize Independent Scotland. Alba gu brath!!! :)
