Les Hinton, the fixer and seeming architect of the "one rogue reporter" narrative is reported to have resigned from the Murdoch empire.
Hinton was very much the "Mr Wolf" to Rupert Murdoch's "Marcellus Wallace".
He solved problems.
So he helped when the hapless duo Andy Coulson and Rebekah Brooks - "Vincent Vega" and "Jules Wingfield" - messed up.
To protect Wallace, Vega and Winfield, a dead body called "phone hacking" was dealt with by Mr Wolf.
The problem was 'closed down'.
Unfortunately, this Mr Wolf was not very good at burying this story.
It was not closed down.
And, perhaps unfortunately, it would now also seem that this time round that the police-uniformed Zed may actually get his way with Marcellus Wallace...

Erm ... It's Marsellus, I think.
But other than that unforgivable lapse - excellent
So who's The Gimp?
Yep the whole house of Murdoch appears to be shivering with faux concern...as well they might in reality.
Rupert came a galloping to kick a little butt and has ended up getting his own posterior well and truly walloped.
I do hold to the view that the cosy landcape b'twixt 'n' b'tween the three protagonists...News International...Keystone cops and politicians has forever changed to a more professional standing...at least one would hope so!
Methinks a root and branch de-lousing of the Met hierarchy is long overdue.
And News corp has some serious weeding of their own to perform,
Les Hinton became so sharp he cut himself, or more likely one or more of the several inquiry's will implicate him in the misleading spin to cops and media alike back in the depths of the decade.
But he must have overlooked archives on a computer somewhere and presumably those files and the 11000 pages from Glenn Mulcaire ended up in the wrong hands, from News Corps POV.
I cannot believe they knowingly passed the smoking gun to a 'secular' authority for them to find.
That would be stupid and presumably incompetent.
Hinton screwed up...Big daddy is peeved ...you do the maths!
Suggest you read Guido Fawkes blog today at 16th. If he's right and he usually is there's going to be a hell of a lot of journalists and fellow travellers having sleepless nights. Meanwhile back in the real world.....
