Some news

Hurrah, I am making *actual* progress on the privacy book.

To make this progress, I have had to cut back on a few things so as to give me more time to work on the book, and also to release mental energy for writing the book well.

One of these things is to stand down from being an active Twitter user for a while; for whilst tweets take mere seconds to write, engaging can be quite draining at times and, as it is something one does not actually get paid to do, it currently seems rather a false economy. This is especially as my one serious remaining ambition in life is to write a decent book.

In the meantime, I will be using Twitter just for links to my posts here and elsewhere. I will also post here at Jack of Kent more often with links.

And so here are a couple of my recent posts:

- on the "Occupy LSX" eviction case which I will be covering; and

- on the Freemen movement and what it tells us about "Bad Law".

I am sure I will be back and active on Twitter before too long, especially as 20,000 accounts now are kind enough to follow me (and not all of them pornbots). I have taken time away from Twitter before and have gone back.

I also can be found loitering at Facebook, where you are very welcome to join me.

If writing a book is your last serious ambition, will we get to hear what some of your more amusing ambitions are?
